Bike Point Sos & Shark Ladies

For the Granfondo Squali 2019 there will be an absolute novelty: the partnership with #BikePointSos and the new group of Shark Ladies.

For the 2019 edition, the Granfondo Squali of Cattolica & Gabicce Mare will be painted pink and yellow. Not for the Giro d’Italia or Tour de France, but for an initiative that is an absolute first for the italian granfondo: the Shark Ladies group.

The Shark Ladies are twentythree girls who will start from Cattolica with a yellow jersey of the brand #BikePointSos, accompanying the beginner cyclists to offer them assistance, courtesy and kindness. For example, the girls will give directions about the short or long route, or they will give informations about the refreshment points, or they will help the cyclists to change their inner tube after a puncture.

The idea came from Filippo Grandicelli, holder of the brand #BikePointSos, the network of bars, restaurants, bed&breakfasts, called “cyclist-friendly”, that have the classic yellow stamp in front of the entrance.

So, on Sunday 12 May 2019 when you will ride the Granfondo Squali, you will not have to worry about mechanical failure or other drawbacks, because in both the two routes (short and long) there will be some #BikePointSos.

On the “short route” there will be these #BikePointSos:

Gradara (Green Café), Saludecio (L’Ottocento Café), Mondaino (La Loggia), Tavullia (Bar Pizzeria da Rossi), Cattabrighe (Mimosa), Fiorenzuola (Bar Bruna), Casteldimezzo (Bellavista), Gabicce Monte (Bavosi and Via Panoramica).

On the “long route” there will be these #BikePointSos (in brackets the bars not mentioned in the "short"):

Gradara, Mercatino Conca (Bar Roma), Casinina (Bibi), Borgo Massano (Bar dal Bucaro), Padiglione (Il Luc.Ale), Mondaino, Tavullia, Cattabrighe, Fiorenzuola, Casteldimezzo, Gabicce Monte.

You can find the maps of all the #BikePointSos in the “Squali zone” on the website

Remember to use the hashtag for your photo in the #BikePointSos: in italian #seguiilgiallo, in english #followtheyellow.
