In its eighth edition, the still young but very dynamic Gran Fondo Squali Trek, organized by Velo Club Cattolica and Cicloteam 2001 Gabicce Mare, is among the most popular and most attended amateur events in Italy.
According to a study conducted by the prestigious magazine Cicloturismo, it is the only amateur event in Italy that has seen a 37% increase in the 2022 edition, with almost 3,000 registered participants and about 10,000 tourists during the race weekend. It is the fifth Italian event in 2021 for number of participants and the race is included in the following circuits:
